Bedding supply for the birds

Landscape (UK) - - Reader's Letters -

After finishing various woolly projects, I am often left with a stash of yarn ends. I have started to cut these into smaller pieces, combining them with sphagnum moss and dried trimmings of ornamental grass, which are then stuffed firmly into a wire cage bird feeder, hung up near my bird feeding station. Now there is some warm and cosy nesting material readily available for visiting birds who like a splash of colour. Heather Espley, Worcestershire
