Delicate floral cups of light
Delicate papier mâché bowls adorned with dried flowers cast a gentle glow when a tea light is placed within
As the days lengthen and evenings lose their chill, the garden beckons. All around, trees have burst into leaf with the onset of summer. Oriental poppies, hardy geraniums, violas, nasturtiums, sweet william, aqualegia and aubretia are among the many flowers adding seasonal colour. These exquisite paper lanterns are enhanced with a selection of flowers and leaves that have been collected and dried before being incorporated into the design using a simple papier mâché process. The result embraces the gentle beauty of the time of year. When a tea light is carefully set inside, the lanterns create a soft, subdued glow, ideal for outdoor suppers. They can be suspended from the boughs of a tree or used as ethereal table decorations.
