TERRY’S TIPS FOR GROWTH

-

Foxgloves are suitable for growing in containers. A 3-4 litre pot is sufficient for one foxglove plant. Each plant requires 6-10in (15-25cm) growing space. Foxgloves may be affected by pug moths, which lay eggs on the flowers and can distort their shape. The plants should be checked as the flowers start to emerge and any eggs picked off. The plants are very easy to move as long as this is done on a damp, cool day. Foxgloves only need staking if moved when they are about to flower. The flower spike is supported with a cane to keep the plant upright.
