Where to see puffins
The Atlantic puffin, Fratercula arctica, is native to the north Atlantic Ocean. There are thought to be between 6 and 12 million puffins throughout their range, of which 580,000 pairs nest in the United Kingdom. Internationally, puffins are classified as vulnerable by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature.
