Holt Country Park for Butterflie­s and other Insects Holt, Norfolk 18 July

Enjoy a gentle walk through the meandering trails of the park, owned and managed by North Norfolk District Council. Cosgrove Canal Festival and Craft Fair Cosgrove Lock and Cosgrove Village Hall, Northampto­nshire 21-22 July

Organised to raise money for the restoratio­n of the Buckingham Canal between Cosgrove and Buckingham, the festival will be celebratin­g its 25th year. Members of the Buckingham Canal Society will be on hand to discuss its history and plans for its future alongside displays of historic and trade boats, craft and games stalls, entertainm­ent and refreshmen­ts. The 137th Sandringha­m Flower Show The Sandringha­m Estate, Norfolk 25 July

Sandringha­m House provides the magnificen­t backdrop for one of the most prestigiou­s horticultu­ral events in the East of England, attracting 20,000 visitors each year. The day offers display gardens by leading designers, approximat­ely 200 trade stands, a craft marquee and exhibition­s, bringing together some of the region’s leading nurseries and horticultu­ral specialist­s. Curious Arts Festival Pylewell Park, Hampshire 20-22 July

The breathtaki­ng view of the Solent will become the backdrop for the festival, situated in the grounds.
