Delicate globes to light up garden

I was delighted with the gossamer lanterns in your June issue of LandScape magazine. They will look stunning hanging from the apple tree or on the patio table. Could anyone advise how to remove the balloon from inside once it is popped? I cannot get rid of the residue. Elizabeth Lane, Lincolnshire
