Lakeland Country Fair

Torver, Cumbria 19 August

Set in South Lakeland, looking out towards the beautiful countryside of the Coniston fells and Coniston Old Man, the fair showcases traditional Cumbrian skills and activities, including glass painting, chair-caning, leatherwork, swill basket making, weaving, felting, spinning and sheep clipping. Visitors will also be given the opportunity to learn about fell ponies, an ancient Cumbrian breed, as well as fell foxhounds and beagles. A perfect day out to experience a cross-section of Cumbrian life.
