Autumn Deer Walk
Tatton Park, Knutsford, Cheshire
16 and 17 October
In the setting of stunning grounds, join an experienced team of Tatton Park rangers for a guided walk in the autumn parkland to witness the drama of the rut. This time of year is marked by male deer competing to mate with the females, resulting in posturing, bellowing and wallowing. Triggered by shortening daylight hours and cooler weather, the annual deer rut is one of Britain’s most exciting autumn wildlife spectacles. www.tattonpark.org.uk
