Helleborus niger
The best known of all the helleborus and one of the earliest to flower. Large cup-shaped, sparkling-white blooms may even appear by Christmas, hence its common name of the Christmas rose. It is the ideal specimen to plant beneath a glossy camellia canopy. Height and spread 8-16in (20-40cm). Supplied in 9cm pots in 14 days.
