Soothing scent

Orange halves can be turned into fragrant candle holders with the addition of decorative cloves. The orange is sliced in half horizontally and the flesh inside cut or scooped out. A leftover, partially burned candle or a tea light removed from its container is placed inside each half. The rim of the peel is then studded with the cloves. Once the candle has been lit and left to burn for a while, the wax should melt to fill the orange. As the holders warm, gently spiced fragrance pervades the home.
