Aurora Night

Kielder Forest, Northumberland 3 December Explore the science behind the beautiful dancing Northern Lights, at the Kielder Observatory. Learn about the incredible energy the sun releases and how this interacts with the Earth’s atmosphere to give a light show like no other. The aurora will not be visible on the night, but sky-gazers will be shown how to find it in the night sky and the best locations in the UK at which to see it.
