Ella and Mya enjoy weaving shapes from leftover yarn to create pretty artworks

EllA And myA have fun creating simple pieces of decorative artwork, weaving yarn into different shapes. Colourful wool or cord is criss-crossed to fill the outline of a star or heart picked out in silvery nails on a wooden base. After placing a drawing of their shape onto a smooth offcut of wood, such as a floorboard, the girls ask an adult to carefully knock in the nails. They can then attach the cord and make their own pattern by winding it around the nail posts as they draw it from side to side.
