WRAPPED UP IN FIR

Branches from the Christmas tree can be put to use sheltering tender plants from the challenging winter weather. Large branches are chopped off with secateurs and pushed into the edges of containers to form a windbreak. Smaller branches can also be snipped off to fill in the spaces and make the windbreak more robust. Wrapping the container in sacking provides an extra layer of snug insulation.
