Other places to see murmurations

Some of the UK’s most spectacular murmurations can be seen from mid November into February at the following sites: Somerset Levels: Britain’s biggest murmuration gathers either at RSPB Ham Wall or at Natural England’s adjacent Shapwick and Meare Heath reserves. Aberystwyth Pier: A smaller roost, but with a wonderful sunset backdrop looking out towards the Irish Sea. Brighton Pier: Another small gathering, but the birds allow a very close approach as they roost on the pier structure. Gretna Green: A large roost takes place near the village, just over the Scottish border from England.
