GRAFTING

To graft live stitches onto a cast-on edge, first thread the live wool onto a blunt-tipped sewing needle. Thread the needle into the next stitch on the knitting needle as though to purl. Taking the wool behind the knitting needle, thread the sewing needle through the crossed over wool forming the cast-on stitch, from behind. Pull the wool through and thread the sewing needle through the next live stitch as though to knit. Pull off the stitch and repeat until complete.
