Due to its thickness, denim can sometimes prove unwieldy. Stitches should be sewn slowly using a needle for denim and a hand crank applied over difficult seams. Jeans that have been worn many times are easier to sew because the material is softer. An iron is used for flattening out seams to reduce bulkiness.
