Jane Withers uses traditional techniques on hand and industrial sewing machines to create unique textiles, such as these embroidered hot water bottle covers. She works with her partner, Michael Hanmer, from a rural studio in Welbeck, Nottinghamshire, drawing inspiration from the colours and textures of nature. The detail on the covers here recreates the stark beauty of bare trees in winter and is stitched onto 100 per cent Merino wool. Each comes with a 2 litre hot water bottle.
