Attention is drawn to the familiar elegance of the snowdrop when it is displayed in a triptych box. Two or three blooms are planted into each pot and the soil covered with a handful of feathery moss. An old wooden crate is then turned on its side and two thick branches carefully sawn to fit the height of the box. This may take a little trial and error. The repetition and balance of the rustic display serves to underscore the winter flower’s simple beauty.
