Kielder Observatory, Kielder Forest, Northumberland 3 February Experience an evening of observational astronomy under the starry skies of Kielder and the Northumberland International Dark Sky Park. The event will begin with a short introduction on how to use the telescopes to make the most of the experience, followed by an exploration of the night sky and a laser-guided tour of the constellations, star clusters and galaxies by a passionate science team and volunteers. Participants can also enjoy a hot drink on the observation deck, looking up at the wonders of the night sky with the naked eye. www.kielderobservatory.org
