A plAce to rest

-

The interplay of new growth and gradual decay creates an everchanging contrast on a pair of worn leather boots, left to be reclaimed by nature in a corner of the garden. Mosses and lichen grow in small patches on the softening, cracked leather, and insects find precious warm, dark shelter in the toe. In this way also, a personal touch can be brought to the garden, where a pair of beloved boots, which may have seen many years of service, continues to be of use. In the warmer months, the old boots can be roughly planted with flowers so new life and beauty returns.
