In the garden
As the days and outside water temperature start to warm up, pond fish which have been dormant over the winter become more active. Their feeding should begin when temperatures settle at approximately 10ºC. At this point, the fish can be fed small amounts of a low-protein food. Care is taken not to overfeed them, and any uneaten food is scooped out of the pond to avoid contamination. Soon, the pond will flicker with movement and colour as their energy levels rise.
