SWATHED IN GREENS

-

The humble cabbage is rarely admired for its appearance, but its ridged leaves and frilled edges make it a striking foil to a pure white candle. A couple of leaves from the inside of the vegetable are sliced off, wrapped around the candle to reveal its intricate veins and bound with a slender ribbon. Another leaf placed underneath acts as a spongy mat. The pale green and white colour scheme is then carried across the table in the napkins and flower arrangements.
