ALL TIED UP
A selection of old ties can be repurposed to make an unusual strip of bunting. If there are not enough lying around the house, a trip to a charity shop will usually yield good results. The ties are first cut in half and sorted into two piles: the wider ends and the narrow ones. The widest are then cut to an equal length and the narrow ones a few inches shorter. They are then paired up and arranged along a long ribbon of fabric which is folded over to hold the tops of the ties. It is tacked into place before being sewn up tightly.
