Cleaning made simple

It is easy for the cleaning cupboard to become overfilled with products, each claiming to polish, shine or decontaminate to the highest degree. The number of bottles can be reduced by adopting a more natural approach to cleaning. White vinegar, lemon juice and bicarbonate of soda can be used on most surfaces, including ceramics and glass. Lemon, tea tree and lavender oils have a variety of anti-bacterial or anti-fungal properties and add light scent to sprays. The essentials are kept in a handy basket which can be carried from room to room along with a cloth, toothbrush and scrubbing brush. The job of keeping the house in order then becomes much simpler.
