Curtain of light
A simple curtain, which maintains privacy yet allows the light to flood in, can be made from a patchwork of fresh white handkerchiefs. It is best to use new handkerchiefs or ones in pristine condition. Single stitches in finer thread, spaced at regular 1in (2.5cm) intervals along the edges will hold the squares together without appearing too obvious. Using lace-edged handkerchiefs allows rings to be pushed through the top edge of the curtain to connect it to the pole.
