Plant held in cradle of knots

-

safelY supported in a sling of cord, interspersed with decorative knots, a lush pot plant is suspended from the ceiling to show off its beautiful greenery in the home. This attractive plant hanger makes an ideal project for practising basic macramé techniques.

As well as allowing the plant container to be displayed at a chosen height, the strands of cord provide a soft framework through which the plant fronds can freely grow.

The holder requires just lengths of cord and a simple wooden ring to make and it uses only two types of knot: a wrapped knot and a square knot.

The planter could also be substituted with a suitable vase in which to display a bunch of hand-picked flowers.

a macramé holder is a natural soft sling to support a leafy plant which can be admired from all angles when hung from the ceiling
