A HEALTHY START ENSURED

Exuding a heady perfume, sweet peas are perfect for fragrance and can be sown any time between October and March. The plant prefers a long root run, so deeper pots are ideal. Two seeds should be planted in each pot, approximately 1in (2.5cm) deep, and filled with multipurpose compost. They should then be watered and covered to retain moisture. Once there are three to four pairs of buds, the growing tip of each stem can be pinched out between the forefinger and thumb to encourage side shoots.
