DELICIOUS FRUIT, FRESH FROM THE TREE

Home-grown cherries are twice as sweet with this special offer: buy one cherry tree and get a second free

-

FOR BUMPER CROPS of delicious, plump, juicy fruits each summer, ‘Stella’ cherry is difficult to beat. In addition, the beautiful cherry blossom, which appears from early March, will brighten the garden and mark the beginning of spring. ‘Stella’ cherry is self-fertile, which means it does not need a second variety of cherry tree to pollinate it, and is a really heavy, reliable cropper because it has good resistance to late frosts. Unlike most other sweet cherry varieties, ‘Stella’ will thrive in slightly exposed locations, but can also be grown in a pot on the patio. The sweetly flavoured, dark-skinned, aromatic fruits will be ready to pick from mid- to late July each year, and from the third growing season onwards, upwards of 5kg of cherries can be expected per tree.

These grower-quality trees have been grafted onto ‘Colt’ rootstock to provide a compact and manageable habit.

Supplied as a 4-4½ft (1.2-1.4m) tall, multi-branched, bare-root tree.

Considered the ‘king’ of cooking apples by respected chefs and professional fruit growers, ‘Bramley’ is a heavy cropper once established, with high-quality fruits that can be stored. It should be grown alongside another apple variety, such as ‘Braeburn’, for best fruit set, as it is not self-fertile. Grown on a dwarfing rootstock, this tree will reach approximately 6½ft (2m) in 10 years, and is fully winter hardy.

Supplied as a 4ft (1.2m) tall, grower-quality, multi-branched, bare-root tree.
