WETLEY ROCKS: An evening of music and memories will take place at St John the Baptist Church later this month. The Beat Goes On, on Saturday, September 29, 7.30pm, will feature Sax and Keys, will special guests including Reverend Michael on guitar. LEEK: As part of Heritage Open Days week, there will be free admission to Brindley’s Mill this week, from tomorrow until Sunday. On Sunday, there will also be folk music from Cuckoo’s Nest and Friends, 2-4.30pm.

IPSTONES: Leek Salvation Army Band and choir is to perform at a concert in Ipstones.

It will take place at the church on Friday, September 28 at 7.30pm.

CHEDDLETON: The Local Walking for Health Group meet at the Boat Inn Car Park at Cheddleton each Monday at 1.45pm.

IPSTONES: On Sunday at 10.30am, a Harvest Service will be held at Ipstones Methodist Church followed by a bring and share lunch.

On Sunday, October 7 at 11am a Harvest Children and Parents Service will be held at St. Leonard’s, Ipstones. A Harvest Songs of Praise with Holy Communion will take place at 6.30pm.

A Harvest Supper will follow on Monday, October 8 at 7.30pm at Ipstones Memorial Hall. Tickets £6 (children £3) from 266313.

ONECOTE: On Sunday, September 23 at 9.45am Harvest Holy Communion will be held at St Luke’s, Onecote. A Harvest Supper will follow on Monday, September 24 in the village hall at 7.30pm. Tickets adults £6.50, children £3.50 for under 12s from Jean on 304334 or Hazel on 304539.

BUTTERTON: On Sunday, September 30 at 6.30 a Harvest Thanksgivi­ng will be held in St Bartholome­w’s, Butterton.

On Monday, October 1 a Harvest Supper will be held in the village hall at 7pm. Tickets £6 from Barbara on 304324 or Melanie on 304504.

SWINSCOE: The next grocery bingo night at Swinscoe is to be held on Wednesday, September 19.

The event will be held in the village hall and start at 8pm.

LONGSDON: A barn dance/ceilidh is to be held in Longsdon in aid of Moorland Dog Rescue.

It will be held in the Memorial Hall on Friday, September 21 between 7.30pm and 11.30pm.

LEEK: Leek Photograph­ic Club will welcome Peter Siviter with his presentati­on of images entitled ‘Tales of the Unexpected’ for their opening night of the new 2018/19 season tomorrow in the Dove Room, at Moorlands House, Stockwell Street, Leek.
