Reynolds stars with bat and ball to set Endon on victory path

Division Seven

OAKAMOOR had an afternoon to forget at Rode Park.

They tumbled to 39-7 at one stage and although David Nash (27) and Luke Walker (23) stopped the rot, the visitors could only muster 94 all out.

New-ball duo Oliver Clarke (4-18) and Jim Johnson (3-14) did most of the damage.

And it was reasonably comfortabl­e for Rode Park & Lawton in the chase as well as Neil Cheadle’s 30, allied to 25 from Stuart Nixon, sealed a sevenwicke­t win.

Third-placed ENDON won by five wickets at home against Stone SP fourths.

Stone SP, who are rock bottom, reached 182-5 from their 45 overs.

John Millington (44no), Shattom Ghosh (43) and Ben Cox (35) were in good nick for the visitors, while Joshua Reynolds picked up 4-28.

Reynolds, not content with his wicket haul, then made 96 not out to set Endon on their way to victory. He was aided by Andy Hopwood, who weighed in with 58 to end Stone SP’S hopes.

Division Eight

CHECKLEY THIRDS banked 25 points from their trip to Newcastle & Hartshill.

James Bennett (46), Alex Belcher (37) and Thomas Carrigan (30) all shone in Checkley’s 166-5 declared. Nabil Fassaludhi­n took 3-51.

Castle were then bundled out for 75 as Jamie Richardson secured figures of 3-8 to sit alongside double strikes from Belcher and Jason Carrigan.

OAKAMOOR THIRDS secured an easy win against Sandbach.

Gregor Hayes’ 85 was backed up by James Wright’s unbeaten 67 and Ethan Lowe’s 49 as Oakamoor amassed 2433 declared. Andrew Collett claimed 3-35.

Ben Collett made 56 in the run chase, but Sandbach’s challenge came to an end with the total on 144.
