£27,000 Lambo can rev up your office

-

SITTING at work, wishing you were behind the wheel of an exotic supercar instead? Well, thanks to one furniture firm, you could now do both at once.

The Lamborghini Aventador replica desk, from Polish firm Design Epicentrum, may not feature a fire-breathing V12 like a real machine, but it’s certain to light up your office space.

Convincing enough to look like a real car has been chopped in half, it’s been painstakingly recreated by hand – albeit with the sad absence of the Italian supercar manufacturer’s badging, presumably for licensing reasons.

The fibreglass unit measures 74.8 inches wide and 31.5 inches high, and customers have the choice of over 200 colours.

It also boasts a scratchresistant glass top and working lights. Optionally available is an LED light on the work space too.

Better still, you won’t have to pay real Lamborghini pricing for the desk.

It retails at 30,000 Euros (£27,000), which is around one-tenth of the price of the full machine.

That said, don’t expect to be able to road trip Europe in this thing – unless you do so via a laptop and Google Maps on the workspace.

Design Epicentrum also offers desk recreations of the Murcielago – the Aventador’s predecessor – and matching sofas.

Twelve-cylinder engine sound effects are available free of charge from your vocal cords.
