An invitation to go fishing for business
A BUSINESS networking group which launched in April is teaming up with Staffordshire Moorlands Chamber of Commerce to grow its numbers.
Gone Fishing 4 Business is now in its 10th year and has well established groups in Walsall and Derby.
The Leek group was started by Jed Eatough, director of Leek-based firm LSGK Accountants.
The group meets at the White Hart Tea Room, Stockwell Street, Leek, on alternate Fridays between 7.30am and 9.15am.
The cost for each meeting is £12, which includes a full English breakfast (or vegetarian option), together with limitless tea and coffee.
Unlike other formal networking groups, there is no pressure for referrals and no commitment to long-term membership.
LSGK Accountants director Jed Eatough said: “The purpose of Gone Fishing 4 Business is to encourage local businesses to meet and to help each other to become more successful. Always remembering that people do business with people they know and trust.
“I am delighted that the Chamber is widening the scope of the group by promoting it to their 900 plus members.”
The next dates for Gone fishing 4 Business are November 9 and 23.
