Cheadle Running Club members out in force at Stafford
MEMBERS of Cheadle Running Club have been kept busy in recent weeks in a variety of races.
The second fixture of the NSCCL was held at Stafford Common. Cheadle ladies team achieved an impressive sixth place in Division One and the first four ladies were Donna Hughes 20.49, Ruth Watchorn-rice 21.25, Sally Kenny 25.50 and Julie Hulbert 21.42.
Cheadle men’s team took fourth place in Division Two and the first four to finish from the club were Gareth Knapper 27.12, Carl Astley 28.19, Glynn Pattinson 28.34, and Stuart Day 29.04.
Last Saturday, Stuart Day achieved an impressive 13th place in 54.05 in the very challenging ‘Not Langley 7’ race.
On Sunday, the final race of NSRRA 2018 programme was held at Standon Bowers.
The ‘Flying Fox ‘ race is a scenic, challenging 10 mile route around the country lanes. Carl Astley finished in 23rd place in 66.43 followed by Adrian Reeves-jones 78.26, Russell Williams 79.03 and Sally Kenny 88.14.
Cheadle Running Club’s ladies and men’s teams were competing in the second North Staffs Cross Country League meeting at Stafford Common.
