Chea­dle Run­ning Club mem­bers out in force at Stafford

MEM­BERS of Chea­dle Run­ning Club have been kept busy in re­cent weeks in a va­ri­ety of races.

The sec­ond fix­ture of the NSCCL was held at Stafford Com­mon. Chea­dle ladies team achieved an im­pres­sive sixth place in Di­vi­sion One and the first four ladies were Donna Hughes 20.49, Ruth Watchorn-rice 21.25, Sally Kenny 25.50 and Julie Hul­bert 21.42.

Chea­dle men’s team took fourth place in Di­vi­sion Two and the first four to fin­ish from the club were Gareth Knap­per 27.12, Carl Ast­ley 28.19, Glynn Pat­tin­son 28.34, and Stu­art Day 29.04.

Last Satur­day, Stu­art Day achieved an im­pres­sive 13th place in 54.05 in the very chal­leng­ing ‘Not Lan­g­ley 7’ race.

On Sun­day, the fi­nal race of NSRRA 2018 pro­gramme was held at Stan­don Bow­ers.

The ‘Fly­ing Fox ‘ race is a scenic, chal­leng­ing 10 mile route around the coun­try lanes. Carl Ast­ley fin­ished in 23rd place in 66.43 fol­lowed by Adrian Reeves-jones 78.26, Rus­sell Williams 79.03 and Sally Kenny 88.14.

Chea­dle Run­ning Club’s ladies and men’s teams were com­pet­ing in the sec­ond North Staffs Cross Coun­try League meet­ing at Stafford Com­mon.
