Hard work paying off as young guns embark on careers
CHEADLE Cricket Club celebrated a successful season in junior cricket at the annual presentation of awards evening at their club’s Tean Road ground. The thriving junior section fields teams in competitive cricket in age groups from under-8s to under-17s.
The club has made good progress in all age groups with the emphasis being on excellence and endeavour. The club is keen to provide competitive cricket in a supportive environment for any youngster who wishes to take part.
The hard work put in during winter indoor and summer outdoor net sessions by the young players and the coaching staff is paying dividends as more youngsters start to make their way into the senior ranks of Cheadle’s first and second teams.
The club and coaching staff would like to thank the youngsters, their parents and the willing band of loyal volunteers for their sterling efforts over the years.
