Free pet event

VOLUNTEERS are holding a festive event to raise funds for unwanted pets.

Cheadle and District Animal Welfare will stage the fundraising Winter Wonderland at the town’s Guild Hall on Saturday.

Organisers say that between 11am until 1pm there will be a number of stalls selling cakes, toiletries, jewellery, books and games. There will also be a ‘boutique’ selling handbags and scarves.in addition

Santa Claus will also make an appearance.

Admission is free.
