‘I’m already looking forward to the next one!’

A COMEDY night in a village has raised more than a £1,000.

Onecote Village Hall was full of laughter for the first ever comedy night at the venue. It featured award winning MC, Barry Dodds, and comedians Noel James, who is best known for featuring on Britain’s Got Talent, and Dudley born funny man, Sean Percival, who has performed at various comedy festivals, who had the sell out audience full of laughter.

Graham and Julie Riley, from Onecote, were key organisers of the event, and pulled together fellow villagers and friends to make the event a success, by raising £1,100 towards the village hall funds.

Kate Beresford, chair of Onecote Village Hall Trust, said: “It was fabulous to see the village hall packed with people having such a great night out.

“The comedians were brilliant, and the organisers worked really hard to make it a success. I’m already looking forward to the next one!”
