Worldwide fitness experts brings top courses to town

Leek Post & Times - - BUSINESS WEEKLY -

INTERNATIONAL sports and wellbeing provider, Premier Education Group, have started delivering courses in Leek.

The academic year has seen the launch of Premier’s Services in and around the district, giving primary and secondary schools the chance to try out brand new courses by the sports and physical activity provider.

Premier’s area operations manager, Max Adams, said: “It’s fantastic to be able to grow the Premier Education network into Leek. It’s a vibrant town and we can’t wait to host some excellent activities for the community.

“There are some truly wonderful schools here and I look forward to working with them to make the children of Leek healthier, happier and more engaged with sport.”

Premier Education’s mission is to ‘educate and activate the world,’ demonstrating their passion for improving the health and wellbeing of children across the UK and beyond.

They offer a wide range of activities, including dance, drama, health and wellbeing programmes, which are all designed to be holistic and inclusive.

Their sessions can be held before, during and after school, as well as in summer holidays, and cater for a wide range of ages and abilities.

They also deliver globally, in India, China and America – but this is their first time delivering in Leek.

Directors Chris Wood and

Alexandra Muresan said: “It is a real passion of ours personally and professionally to want to inspire young people and adults through Sport, Creative Arts and learning about Wellbeing.

“Government research highlighted alarming levels of childhood inactivity, and we want to play a part in helping change this. We have had a lot of positivity in just the brief initial conversations we have had with headteachers and local leaders. We can’t wait to see how these relationships grow.”

Premier Education was established in the UK in 1999. In 2017 they worked with over 10 million children and 15 per cent of all primary and secondary schools in the UK.
