Junior footballers get a few handy tips from the professionals

A GROUP of Year 1 children from Cheadle South Moorlands United Football Academy were invited to join other children at Derby County FC for a training session on Sunday. The boys thoroughly enjoyed being put through their paces by the Derby Academy coaching staff. Chairman Ian Morton commented “The boys are a credit to our club. They worked hard and gave a really good account of themselves. Thanks to their families for taking part and their ongoing support.”

Cheadle SMUFC are currently looking for new players to join the Academy, especially in the age groups reception and year 1. Boys and girls are welcome. Training takes place on a 3G surface at the South Moorlands Leisure Centre in Cheadle on Tuesday 5.30-6.30pm, Wednesday 4.30-5.30pm and Saturday 11am-12 midday.
