Plan for builders merchants on business park gets green light
COUNCILLORS have given the go ahead for the construction of a builders merchants, covered storage area and open yard storage on plots 12-15 Victoria Business Park, Knypersley.
The application, by Chells Builders Supplies, is for the erection of a detached warehouse building and associated development to accommodate a builders merchants business.
Members of Staffordshire Moorlands District Council’s planning applications committee unanimously voted to approve the scheme at their last meeting.
The business park is owned by the local authority.
A report to councillors by planning officer Lisa Jackson, said: “In addition to the construction of the warehouse the site would be laid out to accommodate brick/block/ tile storage areas (external storage), contractor, staff and visitor parking areas, cycle and bin storage, sand/gravel bays and sufficient space for the parking and turning of HGV wagons.
“The plans indicate some planting around the site boundaries.”
