Accountants’ gallery sponsorship
THE Foxlowe Art Gallery in Leek has secured sponsorship for the 2019 gallery programme from a local accountancy firm.
LSGK Accountants based in Talbot Street, Leek, has signed up to support the gallery as part of their wider corporate sponsorship programme of sport and cultural activity in the town.
The Gallery, on the first Floor of the Foxlowe Arts Centre, hosts several exhibitions throughout the year highlighting the work of a wide range of local and national artists, showcasing a breadth of artistic forms such as painting, photography, ceramics, sculpture and textiles.
Jed Eatough, director at LSGK Accountants said: “I took over the practice in 2014 and not being from Leek I have been amazed how the town supports such a thriving cultural scene.
“The Foxlowe seems to be at the heart of this and I saw this as an ideal opportunity to support a fantastic programme of exhibitions to help with our own profile raising.
”We also have several artist clients so it’s a real bonus to be able to support their community.”
Chris Thompson, chair of the trustees added: “Support from businesses like LSGK is vital to the everyday running and maintenance of the Foxlowe.
“We rely on a healthy mix of volunteers, sponsors and commercial activity to function both as a community facility and regional arts attraction.
Visitor numbers to the gallery are increasing year on year and I’m grateful to Jed for including us in his marketing and sponsorship activity. This will help us bring even more visitors to the Gallery and to Leek.”
The current exhibition: Foxlowe, Past, Present and Future Christmas Exhibition, runs until 22 December with the 2019 programme commencing in January.
