-

LEEK Hockey Club entered four junior teams into the Staffs In2hockey tournament at Lichfield on Sunday.

Two teams took part in the U8 mixed competition,

the only club to do so, one winning and one finishing fifth. The U10 boys won three and drew two without conceding, finishing runners-up and will go on to represent Staffordshire in

the Midlands tournament.

The U10 girls too, were undefeated and finished winners after penalty strokes and will also go on to represent Staffordshire in the Midlands tournament.

Fantastic achievements in the junior section this season so far. The future is very bright!

Meanwhile, there was a mixed bag of results, with nearly a clean sweep

for the ladies teams, but a significant number of unavailability meant the mens teams struggled. Results: Ladies 1s beat Cannock 2s 1-3; Ladies 2s beat Stafford 2s 4-1; Ladies 3s beat Keele

University 13-0; Ladies 4s lost 5-0 Streetly 1s. Mens 1s lost 2-0 to Khlasa 1s; Mens 2s lost 18-0 to Bridgnorth 1s; Mens 3s lost 7-0 to Bromsgrove 1s; Mens 4s lost 3-5 to North Staffs 3s. Vipers beat Barton Badgers 3-2; Cobras lost 1-2 to Ashby Badgers.
