IT’S now over a month since Boris Johnson became our new Prime Minister. He set out to prove the ‘gloomers and doomers’ wrong, and has already made great strides since taking office.
We’ve been used to three years of stalemate and constant impasses, but now times have changed.
We now have a Prime Minister who passionately believes in Brexit and the opportunities it proves for our great country.
This is why I was proud to #Backboris during the leadership race because I wanted us to have a leader who promised things and then wasted no time in taking action to deliver them. We will finally leave the EU by October 31 and regain our freedom.
An extra £2.1billion has been allocated to get the UK ready for Brexit by the end of October, with or without a deal.
Boris’s Britain will be an international, free-trading, outward-looking, self-confident nation that stands tall in the world.
As this weekend’s G7 summit showed, countries around the world are more enthusiastic than ever to expand and strengthen their relations with our country.
Beyond Brexit, Boris is already delivering for Britain. He has promised to deliver an extra 20,000 police officers over the next three years to reduce the rise in violent crime and keep our communities safe.
We have a new Office for Veterans’ Affairs to ensure that our heroic Armed Forces are given all the support they need from the day they enlist and for the rest of their lives.
Boris announced an extra £1.8billion for our NHS for capital funding projects across England, including £17.6 million for the Royal Stoke University Hospital.
The message is clear Conservatives are the party of the people.
