Support website for small salons

- By Laura James laura.james@reachplc.com

SMALL businesses and selfemployed workers across Staffordshire are being invited to make use of a newly-launched micro-site which aims to help promote beauty and hair businesses.

Score a Salon is a web portal for hairdressers, barbers and beauty salons who want to advertise their services on a small budget.

Similar to Tripadvisor and Checkatrade, Score a Salon allows companies to post price lists, promotions, reviews and job vacancies in an online directory – which can be viewed by potential new customers.

The website – which has been developed by Trentham-based Exesios and Score a Salon founder Antonia Gentile – also gives users access to blogs, events and staff profiles.

Antonia said: “The idea of Score a Salon is to support smaller businesses by giving them the chance to have their own website without all of the associated costs.

“Businesses can list their prices, review and photos and lots of other things which will go towards helping to support and grow their business.

“By advertising their services with Score a Salon they can promote their brand and potentially get spotted by new customers who can find them by entering their postcode.

“We work with hair salons, beauty salons and barber shops and are keen to work with even more businesses in Staffordshire.”

Antonia added: “There are a lot of salons who want to expand their reach but simply can’t afford to fund their own website, so this is a great way for them to do it.

“There is nothing else like this available in this area.”

The site is mobile responsive and individual company profiles can be set up in just a few hours.

Businesses interested in Score a Salon are now being offered a 28day free trial.
