The hospice has collaborated with Nelson’s Distillery, Wade Ceramics and Gladman Developments to launch a limited edition gin, pictured.

The strictly limited edition run of just 200 bottles have been carefully and uniquely blended with botanical ingredients including coconut, hibiscus, allspice, vanilla and pink grapefruit at Nelson’s Distillery specifically for The Donna Louise.

Chris Belyavin, relationship manager at The Donna Louise, said: “We’re thrilled to launch The Donna Louise Gin! It’s a great way to celebrate the hospice’s 20th year as a registered charity, and we’d like to say a huge thank you to Nelson’s Distillery, Wade Ceramics and Gladman Developments for working with us to bring this exciting project to life.”

The ceramic gin bottle, made by Wade Ceramics, features a Gladman Developments design based on a painting by 14 year-old Trinnie Hamilton who attends The Donna Louise.

Chris added: “With all of the profits from the sale of each bottle coming straight to the hospice, it makes the perfect Christmas gift, and will make a huge difference for local children and young people like Trinnie who rely on our services.” Each bottle costs £44 (including all taxes) and can be bought from Nelson’s Distillery online at www. nelsonsdistillery.co.uk. Ruth Samspon, general manager at Nelson’s Distillery, said: “We are honoured to be part of this creation and helping to raise vital funds for a fantastic charity. This is a bespoke Nelson’s Gin, specially created for The Donna Louise Hospice for Children and Young People.”
