Cleaning company creates a back to work hygiene schedule

-

CONTRACT cleaning and janitorial supplies company Moorland Contract Group has put together a ‘postlockdown’ hygiene schedule to help businesses ensure they are ready for a phased return in the coming weeks.

The Cheadle business has also put together ‘disinfectant packs’ to ensure that everyone stays safe in the workplace once lockdown restrictions have eased.

The hygiene schedule – which should be carried out three or four times a day – includes cleaning all door touch points, work surfaces, chairs, cupboards and toilets as well as handrails, keyboards and appliances, walls and waste bins.

The company also suggests nonessential items such as displays, storage containers, pots, pans and magazines should be removed, and staff and visitors should be encouraged to wash their hands regularly for at least 20 seconds at a time.

Jackie Walker, right, from Moorland Contract Group, said: “It is vitally important that the relevant cleaning and sanitising processes are put into place as businesses start a phased return to work. We would also recommend a deep clean is carried out prior to staff returning to work.

“Sanitising of all touch points and work surfaces should be carried out three to four times over the period of any working day or shift.

“We would also advise that you place hygiene products at your reception or entrance to your premises, and at various key points where hygiene is essential.”
