Man charged with drinkdriving after weekend crash
A MAN has been charged following a road traffic collision in Cauldon on Saturday night.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police were called at 10.25pm on Saturday, May 30 to a report of an overturned vehicle on Cow Lane in Cauldon.
“A 32-year-old man, from Cauldon Low, has since been charged with driving a motor vehicle with alcohol levels above the limit. He has been bailed to appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on June 30.”
A spokesman for Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called at 10.40pm on Saturday,
May 30 to a report of an overturned vehicle on Cow Lane, Cauldon.
“Crews from Ipstones and Cheadle attended. Fortunately no one was trapped, but they worked to ensure that the vehicle was safe for recovery.”
A cyclist received minor injuries in a road traffic collision in Rudyard on Saturday.
A police spokesman said: “We were called at 2.45pm on Saturday, May 30 to a report of a road traffic collision near Rudyard Lake Garage near Leek. The incident involved a cycle and a car. The cyclist suffered minor injuries.”

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance
Service said: “We were called at 2.46pm to reports of a collision between a car and a cyclist, one ambulance attended the scene.
“On arrival we discovered one patient, a woman, who was the cyclist. She was assessed and treated for minor injuries before being discharged at the scene.”
