Robin Hood are up and running with away win

ROBIN Hood recorded their first Potteries and District Sunday League Division Two win of the season with a 3-1 victory at Butt Lane White Star.

Nathan Bryan scored for White Star, but efforts from Joshua Graham, Peter Hall and Jonathan Jones settled the issue in Robin Hood’s favour.

Fulford United and Loggerhead­s Reserves served up a 10-goal thriller. It was Fulford who banked the points as they prevailed 6-4.

Doubles from Matthew Statham and Paul Jones aided their cause, with Adam Copestake and Paul Jones making it a super six for the home side.

It’s AFC Penny who lead the way, though, after they thrashed Windmill Reserves 7-0.

Craig Bloor scored a hat-trick in Hampton Metals’ 6-4 home win against Cheadle SMU. Nathan Stevenson added two goals, with Patrick Proctor rounding off the home side’s scoring.

Cheadle SMU were in the game, and saw their performanc­e rewarded with goals from Alex

Shaw (2), Jack Brammer and Oli Teagus.

The biggest scorers of the day, though, were Mitchells, who slammed 10 past Linley Tavern.

Josh Bowker and Joe Baker were on target for Tavern, but they proved to be mere consolatio­ns.

In the Premier Division, Adderley Green and Sealion drew 3-3.

Harry Johnson, Ash Ibbs and Tommy Cooke netted for Green, with Andrew Cooke, Dean Jackson and Kye Hughes replying.

Roaring Meg United romped to a 7-0 home win against Black Cock - five of the goals arriving in the first half - while The Windmill beat Hazelhurst 5-2.

· DALE Boot must have been wondering what else he could have done in the Uttoxeter League.

Boot scored four times for Uttoxeter Dominoes, but it wasn’t enough for victory as his side drew 5-5 with Tean Albion in Division

One.

Harry Tinson was also on target for Dominoes, but Albion rallied thanks to Danny Glover (2), Karl Bradshaw (2) and James Lindop.

Churnet Valley won 4-1 at Waterhouse­s. David Shenton scored for Waterhouse­s, but Paul Hughes’ double, allied to goals from Jack Hassall and Mcaulay Rowe left the visitors three points better off.

Bulls Head won 4-1 at home against Bramshall.

Olly Ritchie netted twice, with Martin Gadsby and Chris Richards also hitting the back of the net.

John Thacker replied.

In Division Two, Stone Outlanes thrashed Sudbury 7-0. Tristan Barker led the spree with a hat-trick, backed up by Adam Pope’s double and efforts from Liam Banks and Patrick Bell.

AFC Ipstones ran out 5-1 winners at home against Stone Town. Tom Coates (2), Dale Rutter, Ashley

Beff and Sam Chawner netted, with Owen Brown grabbing a consolatio­n.
