Wilson hits hat-trick in Green success

BRADLEY Wilson stole the show with a hat-trick in Adderley Green’s Potteries and District Sunday League Premier Division home game against The Windmill.

Wilson scored twice in the first half to put the hosts in command before completing his treble after the break to wrap up a 3-0 win.

Hazelhurst’s Josh Furze was also left walking home with the matchball in his side’s demolition of Black Cock.

Jamie Leese replied for Black Cock, but it was to no avail as Hazelhurst eased to a 6-1 triumph.

Cory Chevin grabbed a hat-trick in Mitchells’ 6-0 success against Loggerhead­s Reserves. James Action added a couple of goals, with Mike Lowe completing the comfortabl­e triumph.

Wedgwood took the points from a nine-goal thriller at home against Newcastle Athletic. Doubles from Tom Dunning and Tom Bunn were added to by James Taylor for the home side. Mike Hall, Josh Brayford, Luke Finney and an own goal made up Athletic’s tally.

In the Vets League, Tean won

3-0 at Jolly Potter, while goals from Jimmy Gartside and Wayne Glover earned Sealion a 2-1 win at Newcastle Athletic.
