Pedestrian hurt in Leek road traffic collision
A PEDESTRIAN was seriously hurt following a collision with a car in Leek on Saturday.
The incident occurred in Broad Street just after 3pm.
A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: “Officers were called to Broad Street, Leek, shortly after
3pm on Saturday, March 13 following reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian.
“A teenage man was taken to hospital by colleagues at West Midlands Ambulance Service with serious injuries where he remains. Inquiries are ongoing.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 3.01pm on Saturday to the junction of Broad Street and Hartington Street, to reports of a road traffic collision involving a van and a pedestrian.
“Two ambulances, a paramedic officer, the Midlands air ambulance from Tatenhill with critical care paramedics on board and the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance with a doctor and paramedic on board attended the scene.
“The pedestrian, a man, was in a serious condition and required trauma care at the roadside before being conveyed by land ambulance to Royal Stoke University Hospital for further emergency care. The doctor travelled in the ambulance to continue advanced treatment en route.”
