Grab a £500 ‘golden hello’ by joining Cera!

A HEALTHCARE at home provider is offering new staff a £500 ‘golden hello’ to persuade them to join the company.

Cera – which claims to be one of Europe’s fastest growing companies – is looking to fill 150 vacancies across Stoke-on-trent, Stafford and Leek as part of an ongoing recruitment drive.

It is holding an open day on Thursday, February 17 – between 10am and 2pm – at its Staffordshire and Stoke-on-trent branch on Parkhall Business Village, in Weston Coyney.

Felix Wetzel, right, director of carer acquisition at Cera, said: “Over the past two years, the majority of us have experienced what it’s like to care for people outside of our families – from staying at home to protect the most vulnerable, checking in on an elderly neighbour or dropping off food for someone in isolation. The feeling of caring and making a difference to the lives of others is incomparable.”

Felix added: “It doesn’t matter what stage of your career you’re at, if you’re reliable, empathetic and friendly, it’s time to consider joining the caring profession.”

The open day will give people a chance to drop-in and meet the care team, ask questions and learn more about what a career in care entails. New professional carers joining the company will receive a £500 bonus.

Cera, which was launched less than five years ago, delivers more than 40,000 healthcare visits to older and vulnerable people’s own homes every single day, and holds more than 300 partnerships with the NHS and local authorities across the UK.

Its Staffordshire and Stoke-ontrent branch was told it ‘requires improvement’ in its latest Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection in March 2021.
